Greenhouse Tours

These greenhouse tours will give you the opportunity to study and be able to recognize a number of plant families, genera, or species that either are representative of different biomes we will study or are important examples of various disjunct patterns seen in contintental or island settings. The greenhouses are located on the Basement 1 level of Birge Hall (south side) and are numbered 1 to 8. When taking the real (vs. virtual) greenhouse tour, please leave any backpacks and bags in the hallway so as to avoid knocking plants off tables. To find these plants, look for the flagging tape on each label.
