Biogeography ("Plant Geography")

Spring 2023 next time course is offered

Biogeography is the study of the distributions of plants and animals through time. The theme of this course is taken from Leon Croizat "earth and life evolve together". The course will examine the distributions of plants (and other organisms) from the perspectives of both ecology (biomes, climate, vegetation) and history (floristics, phylogenetics, paleobotany).

Spring 2023 information for this course has all been migrated to Canvas. The previous course syllabus, schedule, and reading list are provided here though.
